For the past 10 years, the CNY Pet Expo & Adoptathon has successfully promoted pet adoption & responsible pet parenting in the Mohawk Valley. The event which celebrates the joy of pets in our lives, found hundreds of caring homes for homeless pets from area humane societies & not for profit rescue groups.

However, due to commitment s with other local animal welfare projects, the planning committee  has regrettably decided to cancel the 2012 event.

With your help, we will be back BIGGER & BETTER in 2013!

We are seeking new volunteers to serve on our planning committee. If you are interested in joining this important event, please contact us. (see Contact page). Planning meetings will begin in late Fall 2012. Sponsors (business & non-profits) are also greatly needed! (see Sponsorship page) Thank you!!!

  Looking to a pet?

Make adoption your first option!
There are between 6-8 million dogs & cats in US shelter every year. Nearly, half are euthanized due to lack of space. Nearly, 10,000+ homeless pets enter shelters in the Mohawk Valley every year. Shelter pets did nothing wrong. They are homeless due to overbreeding & human-related issues (i.e. divorce, moving, landlord issues, no time, no money, allergies, etc) The local animal shelters are filled with a wide variety of healthy pets of all ages, genders, breeds, temperments! And they are vaccinated, spayed, neutered & very loving!
Did you know that 1 in every 4 shelter dog is a pure bred?
Please, visit your local animal shelter or visit www.petfinder.com for find homeless pets in your area!
